The Adventures of Tifa Twilight Season 1 Empty
PostSubject: The Adventures of Tifa Twilight Season 1   The Adventures of Tifa Twilight Season 1 EmptySun Apr 19, 2009 4:24 pm

Well here's my story that i started a month ago. For those who now my story thanx for ur support and for those who dont pleaz read and tell me what u think.

Chapter 1. Memories and Intruders
Tifa rolled over in her bed waking up to the sun's rays coming into the window of her room. She slowly sat up and tossed the sheets off of her. She rubbed her eyes as she gave a big yawn to the new day. She turned to look at the other side of her messy room. There was a poster of the lost heroine smiling down on her. As Tifa did every time she saw anything to do with the Powerpuff Girl, she gave out a small sigh of grief.

"Oh Buttercup where could you be?" Tifa asked in denial. Deep inside she felt that Buttercup had fallen and she did not know how to deal with the end of one of the heroines that saved her once before. Tifa searched inside her mind to the memory of that significant day. When she was in kindergarten she was in the same class with the amazing Powerpuff girls: Blossom, Bubbles (her favorite), and Buttercup. As the class played outside during recess one day, Tifa was "it". She hid her face in her hands as she counted against the fence.

"17, 18, 19...20! Ready or not here I-" But Tifa did not finish. Tifa froze as she saw the tall figure that was staring at her right with those wicked eyes on the other side of the fence. It was Him (or Her...she couldn't tell exactly). The big rosy colored smile jumped across the fence and grabbed Tifa as she flung her arms and legs in every direction but the five year old was easily lifted by Him.

"Let go!" Tifa cried. "Help me, help me!" Tears ran down Tifa's face as she yelled for her life seeing that the kids in the playground were running away into the classroom for their own. "I'm too young to die!"

And then she heard that sweet voice. "Let her go!" Bubbles yelled as her sisters stood on each side of her while they got into their fighting positions across the playground.

"Now that I got your attention," said the evil mouth of Him in that spine tingling voice, "it's time for me to...." And the villian went on with one of those same evil villain plots, keeping Tifa as prisoner. But the Powerpuff girls were too smart for Him. Six arms were much stronger than the only free claw that was possessed by Him. Blossom raced to throw punches at Him in a mere second. Buttercup flew her way to the other side of Him. And the punches were flying. The girls had the upper hand. Tifa felt the soft hands of Bubbles take her from the grasp of Him, and they were flying. Tifa was in Bubbles arms and she never felt so free in her short life. She looked down at the fight Blossom and Buttercup were winning against Him.

"Don't worry," Bubbles said sweetly, "you're safe now." Tifa didn’t even have an ounce of fear in her anymore. She smiled down to the fight below them. The battle didn't even last a minute. She saw the figure of Him run away crying in those horrible claws and cursing out the girls. Tifa felt Bubbles decent and her feet were suddenly on the ground.

"Are you okay?" Blossom asked with that motherly voice. All Tifa could do was smile at the three amazing heroines. From that day Tifa never lived a moment without thinking about the Powerpuff girls. She dreamed of becoming one and cheered as she saw them fly across the air leaving the rainbow trail in the clear blue skies.

Again Tifa sighed while she looked at the poster of Buttercup in her room. She was now a teenager and so were the girls and a day never went by where Tifa wanted to be like them. She got up from her bed and got ready in a cute dress that matched the way the Powerpuff girls wore theirs. She made her way downstairs and looked around for her parents but there was nobody around. She groaned as she had to make her own breakfast meaning that she had to serve herself cereal. As she drank the last of the milk, she put the bowl in the sink and looked out the window. Something was going on in Townsville. She saw the neighbors out in the streets looking up at the sky while they talked fast to each other. So Tifa walked outside to see what was going on.

One of Tifa’s friends ran from the street to Tifa with an expression of fear. "Look Tifa, look!" Her friend Violet pointed up above and then Tifa saw it. Her mouth dropped as she saw the great green planet in the sky. Her eyes couldn’t blink. She couldn’t saw a word. Her heart had stopped beating. The giant thing in the sky was closer than the moon!

"What is that?" Tifa was finally able to ask.

"It's aliens! Have you seen the news? It’s on every channel!" Violet said exasperated. Tifa ran inside her house to her living room with Violet right behind her. She turned the television on. A female news reporter was addressing the nation with a stern posture that was flickering with fear.

"If you are just tuning in, we have breaking news," the reporter stated, "It has been confirmed that aliens have started to attack us from the planet that has come into the atmosphere. No one knows why they are attacking but the President and the other leaders of the world are coming together to stop this invasion."

Violet turned to Tifa and spoke quietly, "There's more to it," she said. Tifa turned to hear Violet speak quietly. "There was an attack at Foster's last night. And there was one at Sector V. But the KND stopped those aliens with the help of that genius boy, the guy who drives that car robot, and the Powerpuff Girls."

Tifa's eyes grew big as she heard what was going on. She knew about the Kids Next Door. She and Violet were operatives once and when it came to retiring they were some of the rare chosen ones who were not decommissioned. Unfortunately she never fought alongside of the Powerpuff girls. She knew she had to go to Sector V to find out what was going on.

Then it came to her. "Wait have you seen my parents?" She asked Violet.

"Oh I saw them drive in the direction of downtown,” Violet answered as she pointed out the front door in the eastern direction.

"What could they be doing downtown?" Tifa asked. "And why did they leave me alone?"

Tifa ran outside leaving Violet in her house. She looked at the skyscrapers that were Downtown Townsville while she wondered what her parents were doing. And then she heard the screaming. Her heart started racing as she looked around the streets. These green ball-looking aliens were everywhere along with these green wasps! They were attacking the people in the streets and some were even taking them away. Tifa heard a scream behind her and turned to see those green aliens making their way into her house. They were attacking Violet!

"NO!!!" Tifa screamed and she ran to her house to help her friend but before she could make it she was lifted from the ground like the way she she was by Him back in kindergarten. She looked up to see what was carrying her higher and higher as the screams from the ground began to fade away. She half expected to see Bubbles, but it wasn't.

Tifa's heart sank as she saw it was a one of those green wasp-looking aliens. "No let me go!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. But unlike that day back in kindergarten and thanks to those years in the KND, Tifa knew martial arts. The wasp was holding her arms, but Tifa lifted her legs and wrapped herself around the wasp. She was upside down and again she enjoyed the thrill of the sky. But her legs were wrapped around the wasp's wings and it was unable to fly.

They both started falling down to the ground and the wasp was not letting go of her arms. Tifa braced herself for the impact. She closed her eyes shut and felt the wind pass through her body. She started to hear the screams of the people in the streets become louder making Tifa realize that she was close to the ground. This was it. This was the end. She would soon be joining Buttercup.

Chapter 2. Heroes

The end never came. Tifa was flying again! She was in the arms of one of her heroes! Bubbles smile down at Tifa, "Dont worry, your safe now" she said. As her pig tails flew behind her. Tifa looked down to the ground and saw that KND operatives were fighting the aliens on the grounnd and evacuating the people. She turned to see where they were flying. Bubbles flew fast across the sky and Tifa was free again, feeling her long hair blowing in the wind.

She saw that they were flying next to a scamper. Its door opened and she saw Numbuh 3 smile at her with those long over grown sleeves and her long hair blowing back from the wind. "In here!" She yelled with joy, “They have things handled down there!”

Bubbles flew into the scamper which was occupied by the KND. Numbuh 2 was at the wheel and turned around to give Tifa a thumbs up.

Bubbles set Tifa down and Numbuh 3 gave Tifa a big hug and said "It's great to see you again Numbuh -" but Numbuh 3 was interrupted by Numbuh 4 who was in the back.

"No time for reunions," he said, "Numbuh 2 throw this thing into hyper drive and lets get to the treehouse."

"Alrighty then, hold on!" Numbuh 2 said as they all strapped themselves in to seats. Tifa buckled herself in while she smiled, happy to join the team again. They obviously came to get her help becaue it seemed as if they needed all the help they could get.

“So what’s going on, who are these guys?” Tifa asked loudly as the scamper flew at the speed of light.

“Well,” yelled Numbuh 4, “these aliens are trying to invade this planet and spread their fusion matter.”

“Fusion matter?” Tifa asked. The KND informed Tifa on the events of the invasion.

“So this Fuse guy is making copies of everyone with this fusion matter?” Tifa asked. “And this is happening all over the world?!” I can’t believe it!”

“Yeah,” Numbuh 2 said at the wheel, “but it’s our job to keep this place safe. From the wilds to the city. It seems as if we are doing a better job than the grownups.”

The scamper started to slow down and Numbuh 2 landed it at the tree house. Tifa felt great to be around the KND. They were in the tree house and they sat to discuss the issues. More and more kids were arriving. Some were in pajamas and some looked in bad shape.

Numbuh 5 brought in a group of injured operatives and kids. “This group needs medical care,” she said in that sly voice. They were taken away while some muttered, “Don’t touch the goo, don’t touch the fusion matter.”

“What are they talking about?” Tifa asked her.

“Well apparently this fusion matter is very harmful to our bodies,” Numbuh 5 answered. The operatives discussed how the fusion matter and monsters were spreading and it was their job to stop the infections. Tifa knew that she was now a part of the war of all wars. The grownups needed the kids help and the kids needed the grownups too.

“Father!” Tifa yelled, “How can you guys trust Father?” They were having a conversation on who else was helping them. The imaginary friends, those creepy kids who were always with the Grim Reaper, that Ben kid who could shape shift, and even some of the enemies of the KND.

“Father is a part of this planet too,” Numbuh 2 answered, “And he doesn’t want anything overpowering him.”

“And you know Numbuh 1 is working with Father right now to gather the help of the grownups,” Numbuh 3 stated.

“Well I’m sure he has things handled then,” Tifa said, “Wait since when did Numbuh 1 come back from space?”

“Hold on,” Numbuh 2 said we are receiving a message from Numbuh 86!” The red headed operative was in the wilds at Mount Blackhead that was shown on the screen on the computer in the room.

“Hey,” she screamed with that annoying Irish (or was it Scottish) accent, “I don’t want to talk to no boy! Where’s Numbuh 5?”

“I’m right here Numbuh 86,” Numbuh 5 answered, “What’s going on?”

“Well the wild is being overgrown with these aliens! We need back up! We have too many on our hands!” They were able to see other people in the background fighting monsters. Juniper Lee was kicking butt, taking on many trees along with this one crazy looking guy who had a gun as a hand.

“Don’t worry we can send more kids,” Numbuh 5 assured, “But we are dealing with a lot of casualties here! So it’s gonna take some time.”

“Okay but hurry! And send girls, not boys!” (The boys at this point started making sour faces and rolled their eyes) “That planet has been sending down those pods that make the monsters but they are also coming from the direction of the ocean!” Numbuh 86 continued. “That grown up ninja Jack guy who was helping here went with Mandork or was it Mandark? I don’t know but they went in his ship to help Dexter fight.”

“Wait,” Tifa interrupted, “where were they going though?”

“Oh, to these darklands that Dexter mentioned. Oh,” she addressed Tifa, “and it’s great to see you’re helping again Numbuh-”

“Numbuh 86 look out!” Numbuh 3 interrupted as she pointed out the giant monster trees that were behind her. Tifa and the others gasped with fear. But it was too late. Numbuh 86 shrieked as the walking trees grabbed her and then they lost connection.

Chapter 3. Time to Fight

The Kids Next Door, including Tifa got ready for battle. Numbuh 5 gathered up many of the kids that they brought in to fight. The all were in the main room and it seemed like it was a reunion. Numbuh 2 was at the computer, with Numbuh 5 by his side.

But Tifa noticed that she did not see her friend Violet since the attack in the morning. She looked around at all the faces, soome familiar and many she had never seen before, and she began worrying for her friend. She scanned the room and then she made a double take. She saw an old friend that she was once in a team with when they were Kids Next Door operatives. She quickly made her way through the crowd passing by the chatty kids and teens. Tifa stopped in front of her friend, but would the girl remember her? This girl unfortunatley did undergo recomissioning when they retired and became teens.

The blonde short haired girl looked at Tifa with a puzzled look….and then the girl smiled. Tifa hugged her old friend.

“It’s so great to see you again Daisy,” Tifa yelled over the voices of the crowd, “But how do you remember me?”

Daisy gazed at Tifa with a huge smile. They were older but still the same little girls inside. “They gave us our memories back!” Daisy answered. “After the medical care they took the former KND to get our memories back again! It feels so good to be back Tifa!” And Tifa could not agree more. Daisy and Tifa moved to another spot in the room where it was quieter. Daisy lived in the city and told Tifa how she and a group of kids formed together to fight against the aliens. Daisy knew that the urge to fight was from the time she spent in the KND that was deep in her mind that she could never reach until now. Numbuh 5 arrived in a scamper to gather them up, and Daisy and the other kids, some of them also being former KND operatives, all felt a trust for Numbuh 5 even though they could not remember her.

Then Daisy also asked Tifa where their other friends were. “Have you seen Violet?” Tifa told her of the last time she saw Violet and they both felt worried. “What about Rayleen?” Rayleen was the other member that was in their group. Both her and Daisy were the only ones in the group who had to have their memories erased as KND tradition. Tifa hadn’t seen Rayleen since they retired. The girls were all around the same age.

But Tifa felt comfortable that she was surrounded by friends. Bubbles and Numbuh 3 were chatting away,Numbuh 4 was being Numbuh 4 (tough), and everything felt close to perfect. Then Numbuh 2 told everyone to brace themselves. He started typing into the computer and openning up a program.Once he pressed enter the whole tree house started to shake. Daisy and Tifa linked arms while everyone else was holding on to each other or sitting on the floor for safety. Was they being attacked?!

From outside the tree house was being lifted from the ground. Most of the kids screamed (making Numbuh 4 roll his eyes) but Tifa knew that everything was under control. The tree house was hovering high above the ground to stop any of the monsters from attacking them. Once everything was under control and the kids got a hold of themselves again, kids were given weapons. Most of the kids, including guns, from rifles to shatterguns, but Tifa found a sword that she armed herself with. She always preferred close combat.

Tifa found her way to the restroom and closed the door behind her. With her back against the door she tilted her head up and gave a big sigh. Everything was happening so fast but Tifa needed to be ready. She looked into the mirror and saw how unkept she looked. Her brown hair that was lying all over her shoulder was tangled and out of place. She looked in the drawer and found Numbuh 3’s orange rainbow monkey hair brush. Tifa slowly brushed her hair back into a ponytail. She took a few seconds to get herself together and made her way back and found Daisy.

Now it was time to fight back. Numbuh 5 gathered groups of kids to send them off to different areas. One by one scampers came and went with kids who were now wearing armor.. Tifa and Daisy were told by Numbuh 5 to stay in the tree house. But Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 were gathering a group of kids to go to Mt. Blackhead with them to help the others, if there were still any left.

Kuki gave Tifa a big hug and Tifa gladly returned it. “Good luck out there,” Tifa told Numbuh 3.

“Don’t worry,” she smiled in return, “we will stop this.” Both her and Numbuh 4 boarded the scamper outside with the dozen of kids that were heading there too and they went off. There were about half a dozen of them left including Tifa. “Alrite everyone,” Numbuh 5 said, “the rest of you will help here in Sector V.” And she led them to the exit. But she turned to Tifa and Daisy and gave them a signal to stay. So they did so while Numbuh 5 led the others out.

Numbuh 2 was still at the computer while Bubbles came over to talk to them. “Hi,” she smile. And then the girls started chatting. Tifa was feeling so great talking to her favorite heroine ever! Then Tifa heard another lovely voice. Blossom flew in and greeted everyone. Tifa smiled back at the pink wonder. It felt so amazing for Tifa and she wasn’t the only one feeling that way. Daisy was speechless.

Numbuh 5 returned and they all gathered around the computer. “Good to see you,” she addressed Blossom.

“No problem,” Blossom said, “Ben Tennison and the others have things under control in the city. Yeah there are still monsters to kill but it is not as bad as it was before. I came to help you guys here.”

“Thanks Blossom,” Numbuh 5 said. Blossom turned to Bubbles and she told her how it was her turn to attend to the mayor now. Bubbles made a whining groan and said good bye to the others. She then turned to Tifa.

“If you ever need saving again just let me know,” Bubbles said with a gentle smile. Tifa smiled back happy to do anything for the girl who saved her a second time. But then Tifa suddenly felt embarassed. She must have looked like a rookie to Bubbles. Tifa felt that being like the Powerpuff girls was far from her grasp now.

When Bubbles left, Numbuh 5 addressed Tifa and Daisy. “Okay,” she said, “we have to break news to you.” Both Tifa and Daisy felt anxious and they had an idea of what they were going to be told.

“It’s about Violet,” Numbuh 5 continued gently as Tifa felt her stomach make a flip, “we think she was taken by the monsters that attacked Townsville ealier today.” Tifa and Daisy went numb with fear. “The operatives reported back that they saw her unconsious body get carried away by the wasps. And many of the kids here said that they saw people get taken away by those monsters including their parents and family.”

“Where did they take her?! What can we do?!” Tifa said while her voice cracked and tears began to swell up at her eyes. Daisy had her arms crossed over her chest and she tried hard to keep control. But Tifa was too caring to hold her composure.

“There have been reports of monsters carrying people to the graveyard in Eternal Meadows,” Numbuh 5 informed them, “So we are going to take care of that ourselves. We will meet up with Billy and Mandy and invade the infected zone in the graveyard and free those kids.”

Tifa felt the rush coming into her body. It was time to get her friend back. “Alrite let’s go!” Tifa said to Numbuh 5. Now it was Tifa and Daisy’s turn depart and they said farewell to Numbuh 2 and Blossom. Then they boarded the scamper. Numbuh 5 was right behind them and closed the door to the scamper. “Alrite let’s move out!”

The scamper flew away and Tifa was ready for battle once again like the good old days. The scamper landed a short while later and the three girls got out of the aircraft. At the gate to the graveyard stood a young girl with a face that looked as if it could kill. But right beside her was the face of a boy totally opposite of the girl’s. Tifa greeted Billy and Mandy. Billy shrieked out a great “HELLO” but Mandy just kept staring through Tifa. Behind them was a small group of kids that they must have gathered, there were about ten of them.

“Alrite let’s just get this thing done and over with,” Mandy said with a bored-looking face.

“Don’t mind Shmandy,” Billy said, “Let’s smash these THANGS!” The group headed into the grave yard with numbuh 5 leading them and made their way deep inside and found nothing out of the ordinary, well if Billy picking his nose was considered oridnary then yeah they found nothin.

“I don’t see anything here,” Mandy broke the silence, “this was a waste of time.” But just then they heard it. A scream of a girl rang through the foresting graveyard.

“What was that?!” Billy yelled as he bit his nails and shook all over. Then there was another scream.

“NOOOOOOOOO!”

“This way!” Numbuh 5 yelled. She led the others down a path that got darker and darker from the thick trees. They ran faster and faster as more screams filled the graveyard. Then they all had to stop at a big ditch that was right in front of them. They all gasped at what they saw. Even Mandy was filled with surprise. There were these vampires surrounding a big pool of the green fusion matter. On the other side of the ditch was a group of people bunched together being kept captive by the vampires. But that wasn’t what shocked them. In the pool were people, the ones that were screaming. And one by one the people were being dropped into the pool as they screamed from the pain that fusion matter was causing for their bodies.

Then Daisy grabbed Tifa and yelled, “Look Tifa! Look!” She pointed to a girl on the other side of the ditch. Tifa gasped as she looked at the dark brown haired girl on the other side who was stuck in the group of kids and adults. She looked like a mess and really scared with her pigtail hanging down on the side of her head. It was Violet.

Violet spotted Tifa and gave her a weak smile. But then a vampire grabbed her and pulled her away from the prisoners. Tifa and Daisy yelled in protest. “NO!” They screamed in unison. The vampires all turned to the heroes. “Get ready!” Numbuh 5 screamed. The group had their weapons ready but the vampire grabbing Violet quickly made its way infront of the pool and threw her in.

Her screams joined the others in the pool. Numbuh 5, Daisy, and some of the other kids ran around the right side of the pool taking down the vampires, while Billy, Mandy and the rest of the kids went around the other way. The others questioned themselves about giving Billy a gun but they needed him either way. But Tifa stood where she was. She had to think quickly. But she made a big mistake but didn’t realize it until it was too late.

Tifa jumped into the pool and tried to make her way to Violet. But the pain was horrific! Tifa screamed out as she slowly began to descend into the fusion matter but she had to bare it. She slowly swam her way closer and closer to Violet. The pain only got worse but she didn’t give up. Violet did not have enough energy and she was slowly sinking. “TIFA!” Violet screamed as her head went below the surface.

“NO VIOLET!” Tifa yelled as she held her arm out to reach for Violet’s hand but it was slowly sinking. Slowly she got closer to her, but Tifa was afraid she wouldn’t make it. She stretch as far as she could and felt the tips of Violet’s hand that now went under the goo.

“NO!!” Tifa screamed form the pain. But it was not the pain she was receiving from the matter, it was from the fear of losing a friend. Tifa sank below the surface. She never felt a pain like this before. Her body felt as if it was burning all over. She then felt Violet’s hand and she grabbed tight while Violet returned the grasp. But slowly Violet’s hold was loosening. And so was Tifa’s. All they could do now was wait for death to come. Tifa never thought she would die like this. Such a horrible death could not have come any worse. At least she would die with her friend. At least she would die a hero.

Chapter 4. Deserted

Tifa could not feel a thing anymore. The moans echoed from the people in the liquid were fading away. Was this how it felt to die- but then something grabbed her. Tifa was pulled out of the pool and she made sure she was still holding on to Violet. She could hear the fight again as she emerged with Violet. Kids were screaming and monsters were roaring but Tifa didn’t pay attention. She was too weak and she felt Violet’s hand slip away from her grasp. “No,” Tifa moaned weakly and then she fell unconsious.

Tifa woke up to the sound of a loud voice. “Do you want help or not?” Mandy asked bitterly, “then shut up.” Tifa opened her eyes and saw the trees overhead. The sunlight was barely creeping its way throught the leaves. By night time, the place would be completely dark. Tifa slowly sat up to see Mandy and a few other kids tend to the wounded. The people spoke softly to each other as they were treated with care. Billy was lying down next to a tree snoring away. Then Tifa saw the figure. It was tall and pink all over. It was Him.

Tifa quickly got up ignoring the sourness all over her body. She stood still staring at Him while he or she (she really did not know which) did the same. “What is that doing here?!” She asked Mandy.

“Oh,” said Him and Tifa shivered from the voice that was so memorable, “is that how you thank the one who saved your life?” Tifa froze. Him saved her? A smile grew on his or her face. “Yeah I remember you now. You sure have grown up little girl.”

“Well…um…,” Tifa didn’t know what to say, “…how did you get me out?”

“Well I am tall and these boots sure helped,” Him told her as he showed off her legs like a model. Tifa simply gave Him a small nod of gratitude. Him smiled and walked away. Tifa turned around forcing a smile on her face to take care of Violet. Mandy told Tifa that Him came just in the nick of time with a group of kids from Endsville. Without Him and the other kids, they would have failed. Tifa didn’t know what to make of this. She still felt like she didn’t want to trust Him.

A little later Numbuh 5 returned with even more kids than before. “Tifa you’re awake,” Numbuh 5 said, “I’m glad you are alright.”

“Thanks Numbuh 5,” Tifa responded, “what’s the update?”

“Well,” she answered, “we were able to get all of the people to safely out of the pool and away from the vampires. We took down most of the monsters here. I sent Daisy to lead a group of kids to help in Endsville. One of the Powerpuff Girls is there and they are fighting an army of monsters that happened to appear after Him left.”

“Then let’s hurry!” Exclaimed Tifa is eager as can be.

“Whoa now, you need to rest,” Numbuh 5 said. And that’s what they did for the next hour. As soon as people recovered enough they gathered their stuff and made their way out of the graveyard. Violet was up and about by this time. She told Tifa how the only thing she remembered was being attacked by the fusion spawns in Tifa’s house. She tried to fight them off but there were too many for Violet to handle. Tifa wondered what became of her home.

“They have powers you know,” Violet told Tifa as they walked to Endsville.

“What do you mean?” Tifa asked.

“Well they throw energy out that can really hurt you, more than fusion matter,” she continued, “that’s what happened to me. I saw this blue beam come right at me…then I remember waking up in the crowd of people that were being held captive. Not too long after I saw you guys. And that was Daisy wasn’t it?”

“Yea,” Tifa answered, “the former KND were given their memories back.”

“I cant wait to actually meet her again,” Violet said eagerly. The group of kids
walked along the streets with Endsville in their sight.

The grown ups that were in the group started leaving and taking their own kids and they tried to convince others to leave. “Hold on there old people,” Mandy said, “You cowards can leave but don’t take any of our kids.” Mandy stood her ground and she looked as if she was staring into the adults souls with her scary eyes. Most of the adults slowly left with their own kids as they tried not to make the wrong move to make Mandy snap.

The kids continued walking and made their way into Endsville. Mandy now was leading the dozen of kids. They made their way down an empty street. They now were moving slowly, silenty looking around. Tifa had her hand on her sword ready to pull it out at any time, but would she be a bit rusty with it since she hasn’t fought in a while? Numbuh 5 gave the rest of the kids the signal to load up. Violet had her spark gun ready.

Mandy stopped and raised her hand to tell the others too stop as well. Numbuh 5 slowly walked up to Mandy to inspect the surroundings. “What is it Mandy!?” Billy asked out loud.

“Shut up you buffoon,” she told Billy.

“Sorry,” he whispered loudly making Mandy sigh with irritation. All was quiet. The wind of the evening was blowing towards the children and gave most of them the chills. Then they saw it. A jack-o-lantern with a body was slowly walking towards them a few houses down. “What is that?” The kids started whispering to each other.

Then it stopped. It raised its smiling head to the kids. Numbuh 5 put her twin pistols up. “Just take it out,” Mandy told Numbuh 5. At that moment the walking pumpkin gave out an eerie scream that made some of the kids scream themselves and it started running at the group. “Take it out now!” Mandy barked. Numbuh 5 shot at the monster. Shot after shot hit the jack-o-lantern but it was still running at the kids with full speed. “The head!” Mandy screamed. “Shoot the head!”

Violet grabbed Tifa’s arm in fear but Tifa turned to look at her with stern eyes, telling her to be brave with just a look. Numbuh 5 aimed at the monster’s head and shot. Some of the kids looked away as the monster blew up into fusion matter. “Now that wasn’t so hard,” Mandy said but the others couldn’t tell if she was being sarcastic or not.

“Where are the others?” Numbuh 5 asked getting out her walkie talkie. They continued to walk down the streets and didn’t see another monster. “HOME!” Billy screamed with joy as he ran to the front door of his house and attempted to hug it. Then he started licking it and that’s when things got weird…Mandy sighed and rolled her eyes.

“Come in,” Numbuh 5 spoke into the walkie talkie, “is there anyone there?” Tifa and Violet sat on the curb and some of the other kids did the same. Mandy made her way into Billy’s house (after pushing him away from kissing the door). Kids made their way into the house as well and Mandy told them to help themselves to any food, she didn’t care since it wasn’t hers.

“Where do you think Daisy is?” Violet asked Tifa. “There was supposed to be a battle here.”

“I don’t know,” Tifa replied, “but things have not gone our way so far today.” Him was walking down the street to investigate the area a bit more. Tifa forgot that Him was still with them. But she couldn’t think anything bad about Him because he/she did save her life.

“Maybe we should check the nuclear plant,” Mandy suggested when she came back outside.

“You’re right,” Numbuh 5 replied, “we will take a small group.” Tifa got up volunteering herself. Violet followed suit.

“I’ll lead them Numbuh 5,” Mandy said, “I don’t want to be around these whiny brats. You should stay here.”

“Alright,” Numbuh 5 responded, “take this.” She handed Mandy a walkie talkie.

“Sure,” Mandy said as her way of thanks, “okay, it was Tifa right? And Violet?” Both of the girls nodded. “Good. Oh and you guys come with us.” Mandy pointed to a group of kids and they quickly made their way to Mandy, afraid of what she would do to them. They walked up the street towards the nuclear plant in the distance. “Hey you over there,” she addressed Him, “come help us.” Him gave Mandy a weird look, not wanting to take orders from a kid, but he simply smiled back and joined the group.

Tifa looked at the kids who were with them. They kids started talking to each other. One of the boys was named Cookie who was in the KND and the only other girl was his sister, Autumn. These kids showed no fear and Tifa was glad to be workin with them. But the time for talkin was over. In the sky coming from the nuclear plant was a scamper. But this scamper had smoke coming out from the back of it. It was going to make a crash landing! It flew over head and they could hear the screams of the kids in it. That’s when they heard the explosion. One of the plants blew up, making them turn their heads back to see parts of the building were flying everywhere in the air. The ground shook and the kids braced themselves.

“Everyone take cover!” Mandy screamed as she pointed to the pieces of the blown up building. They were falling everywhere and they were going to crush them all. Tifa grabbed Violet’s hand with her left and Cookie’s with her right. Cookie grabbed his sister’s. They tried to run under the patio of an abandoned house but right before they could make it, a big piece crush the house. They halted to a stop. Tifa turned to look where the others were. Mandy, Him, and the rest of the kids were hiding behind a building a little ahead.

Tifa led them to the others and she thought she heard one of them tell her sumthing but she kept pulling them regardless and basically threw them behind the building. But when Cookie got up, he looked back into the streets with fear. It was Autumn! She was behind a tree covering her head on ther other side of the street. It was Cookie who tried to tell her to stop, because he let go of her. Tifa took a deep breath, clentched her fists, and ran towards her. “WAIT!” She heard Mandy yell. But Tifa did not want to lose anyone.

Pieces were falling left and right and Tifa was almost smashed by one that landed right behind her. She had to admit that she was scared out of her mind. But she jumped to the floor behind the tree, got up and put her arms around Autumn. “Let’s go,” she told her and Autumn nodded in response.

“Tifa look out!” Violet screamed as she pointed to the giant piece that was falling straight down to where Tifa and Autumn were standing. Tifa tried to cover Autumn with her arms the best she could and they croutched into a ball as the piece hit the tree they were hiding behind. Tifa held her eyes shut as she heard the thick tree crack. “Tifa!” Autumn whispered loudly in fear. And the tree fell over.

Chapter 5. The Battle for the Nuclear Plant

Everything was trashed. The streets were filled with debris. Down the street at the nuclear plant smoke could be seen rising into the air. Tifa looked up. She saw the giant tree in front of her on the floor. The tree did not fall on her or Autumn. Violet ran across the streets. “Are you okay?” She asked. Tifa nodded and the girls stepped over the tree and followed Mandy leading Him and the other kids into the nuclear plant grounds.

They ran through the grounds and came to a halt. Mandy looked around and again there was no one in sight. But it did not stay that way for long. From the buildings, kids came rushing out roaring for battle as monsters popped up everywhere. Guns were going off and monsters were roaring coming from the direction off the site of the exploded building.

“Attack!” Mandy roared. Tifa and Violet led their group of kids into battle. Tifa took out her sword and ran toward one of the dinosaur monsters (a Ventilator). The monster had spotted her, roared with rage, and ran towards her. This was it. She was finally able to fight. She braced herself and when the monster was close enough she swung her fountain pen sword.

The battle was intense. The entire nuclear plant was raging with battle. Kids outnumbered the monsters. One by one the monsters were going down. Mandy threw her punches that knocked the monsers out. Him climbed on top of them, ripping them to shreds with those creepy claws. And Violet led an assualt on a group of the monsters.

“Take ‘em down!” Violet yelled as she fired. But just then she was knocked down to the floor. She looked up to see one of the Ventilators towering over her. It opened its mouth to attack. Violet closed her eyes and covered her face, ready for the attack. But then she heard a big slicing sound. She uncovered her face to see the monster fall to the floor. Violet saw Tifa with her sword and her bangs in her face standing behind it.

Tifa put her hand out and helped Violet up. “You know that’s the second time you’ve saved me,” Violet said with a smile.

“Actually this is the first,” Tifa corrected, “we both were saved by Him when I basically tried to commit suicide.” Violet smiled back at her either way.

“Hey,” Violet said as the fight was dying down, “wasn’t there supposed to be a powrpuff girl here? Where do you think she might be.” But just when Violet asked that Tifa saw the “Powerpuff girl,” or the girl who considered herself one.

Tifa quickly walked over to where Mandy and Princess were. They both had their
hands on theit hips while they argued. “Wait what’s going on?” Tifa asked the girls.

“This smart one,” Mandy said, “was the one who order the destruction of the plant.”

“Hey!” Princess yelled. “We blew it up because many of the monsters were in that building! We wouldn’t have won this if we hadnt done it.”

“Well do you know that we were almost killed by the debris!” Mandy was not happy, but when was she ever an ounce of happy?

“Well, that’s not my problem,” Princess said, “you guys survived didn’t you?” At this point Mandy grabbed Princess’s yellow shirt by the collar and put of fist up to punch her. Princess squinted as she squealed and covered her face.

“Wait!” Tifa tried to intervene. “Mandy this wont help anything. We need to see if the others are okay back at Billy’s.” This didn’t help Tifa convince Mandy so she went further. “And your house could have been destroyed!” This made the look on Mandy’s face even worse as she pulled her fist back for the punch. Tifa grabbed Mandy’s fist. “I promise that I’ll let you punch her if it is.” Mandy took a long look at Princess. Then she lowered her fist and let go of Princess’s shirt.

Mandy stood silent as Tifa addressed Princess. “How did you guys pull it off?” Tifa was referring to the explosion.

“Oh,” Princess said, “we send a few people to the building to set up the bomb. They were a few of the kids that came from Eternal Meadows. But we havent seen them since they left.”

“Wait,” Tifa interjected, “they havent returned?! Do you remember who?”

“Well,” Princess thought it over, “this one blonde girl led them there. I think her name was Daisy.” With this said, Tifa’s heart fell for the millionth time that day. She felt a hand grab her arm. It was Violet who did this when she was scared or nervous. Tifa turned to Violet with fear in her eyes. They both nodded to each other and got themselves ready. Behind them Mandy was still talking to Princess.

“What about that scamper?” Mandy asked, “the one that was making a crash landing.”

“It was shot down by one of the monster,” Princess answered, “It was carrying a group of injured kids.” But Tifa and Violet weren’t paying attention. They looked into each other’s eyes and walked away towards the smoke that was coming from the exploded plant. They were going to find Daisy.

(If this were a movie the girls would be walking in slow motion side by side with dramatic music and serious looks on their faces. If they had sunglasses they would put them on but they don’t, so yeah you get the point. In the backround you could see kids running across the screen and see Mandy and Princess arguing again.)

They made their way across the grounds taking down any monster that got in their way. Tifa sliced this way and that way destroying any monster in her path. Violet shot violently backing up Tifa. The finally made their way across the grounds and past the building that the smoke was coming from behind. They froze at the sight they saw.

Rubble was everywhere. Even part of the building next to it was blown apart. “No,” Violet said, “they’re gone, Daisy’s gone.” Violet fell to her knees and cried into her hands.

“No!” Tifa told her as she picked Violet up and held her by the shoulders and shook her. “We are not giving up hope! That’s how Fuse is gonna win!” Violet nodded her head as she sniffed. That’s when they looked around and then they saw them. At the corner of the grounds behind Tifa and Violet were four kids on the floor covered with debris. They did not make it far enough to avoid the force of the explosion. Tifa saw Daisy’s body motionless on the floor with her hair covering her face (well her hair was always covering half of her face, she had a “shy eye” hairdo). Tifa ran to the unconsious kids with Violet right behind her.

When they got there they bent down to take the debris off of the kids. Tifa held Daisy’s head on her knees while Violet checked the other kids. “No Daisy please,” Tifa pleaded as tears wet her face, “don’t die please.” She wiped the hair from Dasiy’s face and bent her head to see if she was breathing. Tifa couldn’t feel a breathe. So she put her ear to Daisy’s chest. Tifa was able to relax a little for Daisy had a heart beat, but barely.

“Violet she’s alive!” Tifa yelled. “Let’s get them out of here!”

“They are alive too,” Violet said as the boy she had in her arms come around. He groaned and opened his eyes.

One of the other kids woke up to and she along with the boy were able to get up and walk. Daisy and the other unconsious boy did not look like they were going to wake any time soon. Violet was able to get help from the boy and girl to carry the other boy’s body. Tifa tried her best to carry Daisy in her arms. But man was this skinny girl heavy, or Tifa just wasn’t that strong.

They were making their way back when they spotted one of those green pods by the side of the building that was half destroyed from the explosion. “Violet look out!” Tifa roughly yelled, out of breath of caring Daisy. Fusion monsters were spawning form the pod! The monsters were fusing together with the debris. This was how they were made! Instead of destroying the monsters, they helped form them. “We cant fight them,” Tifa told Violet and the kids, “let’s just hurry back. They tried their best to make it as far as they could but they weren’t fast enough. The monsters were shooting at them.

Tifa saw red, blue, and yellow beams of energy fly over her head. But she wasn’t lucky for long. One of them hit her right on her back. “Argghhh,” Tifa groaned as she fell forward to the floor. She dropped her friend’s body, and Daisy rolled on the floor still motionless. Tifa lifted her head to see Daisy facing her with a dead-looking face. Tifa felt the retched pain from the hit pass through the nerves of her body. She bit her lip hard and she tasted the blood that trickled down her lip. Just then another beam hit her in the back of her head. She felt dizzy. The world was spinning and there was a ringing in her ear. When the world came to a still Tifa noticed she couldn’t hear anything but the ringing.

She was able to see the army of kids fighting the new monsters. Shots flew across the air and she could see the mouths of the kids move as they yelled orders. But she couldn’t hear a word. Then she heard flapping. Something above was flying its wings. She lifted her head to the sky to see an angel fly through the sky.. but all she could hear was the strong flapping of its wings. The angel was a girl dressed in white with white hair. It seemed that the girl was watching over the battle but she had a blindfold over her eyes. Tifa didn’t question the majestic figure. She was looking in awe.

The sound of the wings faded away as the angel flew away pass the hills and into the horizon of the setting sun.

The Adventures of Tifa Twilight Season 1 Empty
PostSubject: ch. 6 part 1   The Adventures of Tifa Twilight Season 1 EmptySun Apr 19, 2009 4:38 pm

this one was too long to post here so i put it in two parts

Chapter 6. Promises

The roars and screams slowly became louder and louder. Tifa was still on the floor when she heard someone yelling her name. “TIFA! TIFA!” Violet was trying to get Tifa to respond. Tifa sat up and turned her back to Daisy’s body. She saw that Violet was shooting down monsters with the help of the kids. The boy who they were carrying was sitting up now awake but not strong enough to fight yet.

A Gear Goon spotted Tifa and was charging towards her. Tifa took her sword out but she was unable to stand up with her back still in pain. She held her sword out but she knew she wasn’t able to take on the gear goon in her case.

Just then a big figure landed right in front of her with his back towards her facing the gear goon. This big man had a long yellow cape and Tifa looked up in amazement. The man flew straight to the gear goon and with one punch the goon went flying. Tifa slowly got up. She eased her way to Daisy. Tifa bent down to try and pick her up but she wasn’t strong enough. A hand gently grabbed Tifa’s shoulder.

Tifa looked around to see that it was the huge man. But he wasn’t a man. He was an alien with a yellow mask that covered his eyes. Tifa knew that he wasn’t one of the fusion monsters. He was a hero. The alien in the yellow and white suit picked up Daisy in his arms. “Hold on to me,” he told Tifa. She wrapped her arms around his waist. He flew off into the air, flying over the battle scene. Tifa closed her eyes, feeling the thrill of taking to the sky. The wind cooled her off and she felt safe. But who was this hero that saved her life?

The alien descended in between two of the buildings where a group of kids were gathering. The fight was dying down and the kids were winning. The alien laid Daisy on the cushions that were set up for injured kids. The alien flew off again leaving Tifa on the ground. After Tifa looked down from the hero’s take-off she saw Him and Mandy come walking in between the buildings. “This battle is coming to an end,” Mandy said (you would think she would be happy but it’s Mandy so you guys know how she looked), “we need to get all these kids out of here.”

The alien hero came back with the other boy in his arms and Violet and the other girl hanging on to him. He gently landed and laid the boy down while the girls let go of him. Right behind him came Princess recklessly flying while a couple of kids were holding on to her and her jet pack. She didn’t make as smooth of a landing as the alien did but the kids were not injured in the process. “Okay let go of me!” Princess
yelled, “You guys could have killed me.”

“Well you survived didn’t you,” Mandy said smartly. Princess gave her a sour look. Tifa and Violet attended to Daisy. There were several other kids who were in as bad condition as Daisy. So Mandy took out her walkie talkie to speak to Numbuh 5. “Numbuh 5 are you there?” Mandy asked.

“Yes I am Mandy,” Numbuh 5 yelled out of the talkie. But they were able to hear screams and roars in the background. “There’s a major fight over here. These crazy Halloween-like monsters came out of nowhere!”

“Alright we will be right there. Can you send a scamper here? There are some kids
in bad shape.”

“Not one that can work,” Numbuh 5 answered, “there was a scamper that came in that direction that crash landed down the block. The kids in there are safe now but we have sent a request for a scamper and when it gets here we will send it your way.”

“Alright,” Mandy said into the walkie talkie. Tifa got up and walked over to the big hero who saved her life. As she got closer to him he looked her way and gave her a smile. She looked up at him with a smile in return.

“Hello,” he said as he gave out his hand for Tifa to shake, “I am Ultimos of the Galactic Enforcers.”

“Hi,” Tifa replied as she shook his hand, “I’m Tifa.”

“It’s great to meet you. Two other Enforcers and I have come by Ben Tennison’s request. My friends are helping elsewhere.”

“Thank you for saving me,” Tifa said. Ultimos seemed to see the spark in Tifa. He wanted to know about her and Tifa was glad to tell him of her time in the KND and the situations she had been in for the past day (yes it’s still the same day since the story started).

“If Earth has more warriors like you,” Ultimos addressed Tifa, “than Fuse will surely fall.”

“I’m not sure about that,” Tifa said being modest, “I’m just an ordinary kid.”

“No child on this planet is ordinary,” he replied, “I have seen that for myself.” Tifa made a quick friend with Ultimos and she hoped she lived up to his expectations of her. At that time a scamper flew at the end of the alley. Mandy ordered some of the kids to help the injured on board. Violet came to Tifa as they watched two boys carry Daisy in the aircraft.

“I hope she’s alright,” Violet said softly.

“You should go with her,” Tifa said to her. Violet looked at Tifa with weary eyes. Tifa nodded towards the scamper.

“Okay,” Violet said as the girls hugged each other, “I’ll see you soon.”

“It’s a promise,” Tifa said into her ear. They drew apart and Violet boarded the scamper. She turned back to wave to Tifa with her right hand and wiped her face of her tears with the left. Tifa gladly waved back in enthusiasm. The scamper door was shut closed and Tifa lowered her arm slowly, trying not to break down.

“Have you always been so strong?” Ultimos asked Tifa. She turned to him confused. “What do you mean?” She asked back.

“Well you hold your composure so well while the times are bad,” he answered.

“Well, I’ve always been the enthusiastic one,” Tifa said, “I was the one that smiled all the time and clapped my hands together in joy as I cheered.” Tifa gave out a small laugh at the memories.

“And you don’t want anyone to see that you might have lost hope,” Ultimos replied. They were both standing side by side looking up at the darkening sky. Tifa smiled. She never thought she would smile so much at such a time. “You’re right,” she answered while tears began to run down her face. Ultimos put a hand on Tifa’s shoulder, comforting her.

“Alright everyone,” Mandy announced, “It’s time to get out of here.” The kids started to gather their things together and start walking to the entrance of the nuclear plant grounds. But just when Tifa and Ultimos started to leave Mandy stopped them. “Not you two,” she told them, “there is this thing called a terrafuser, those piods things, that still resides in one of the plants in the north. You guys will join Him to destroy it. We don’t need to send a bunch of clumsy little nap-taking kids to get injured.”

Tifa and Ultimos gladly accepted the mission. Mandy led the army of kids to the entrance and to Endsville. Him brought out a bag of food and Tifa and Ultimos joined Him for a quick dinner. She was glad to actually eat something else besides the cereal she had in the morning. They sat against a wall as they started chatting while eating their sandwiches.

“Space must be amazing,” Tifa told Ultimos after he told them about his team, “I mean I have been there. But to go beyond in this galaxy must be a wonder, all the different planets and things to learn.”

“But it is dangerous,” Ultimos replied, They all were looking above at the stars that were becoming visible from the east.

“Bah,” Him complained, “I wouldn’t want to go up there, it’s hard enough to take control of Townsville.” They all laughed and Tifa forgot about her past with Him. They were on the same team and they wanted the same thing, peace for the planet. It felt like forever since things have been peaceful. She knew that she better enjoy it.

The Adventures of Tifa Twilight Season 1 Empty
PostSubject: ch. 6 part 2   The Adventures of Tifa Twilight Season 1 EmptySun Apr 19, 2009 4:38 pm

The three finished up their lunch and slowly got up and ready for their missions. Him stretched out his claws, Ultimos stretched out his arms and legs, and Tifa made sure her sword was strapped tight around her waist. They all looked at each other with silence. They started walking up north. At the end of the path there stood a building. It looked like a factory.

They stopped at the sight of it. “Are you guys ready?” Tifa asked anxiously.

“Always,” Ultimos answered. Him nodded with an ominous smile. They were at the door and stopped. They looked straight ahead and took deep breaths. Ultimos stepped forward and pushed the door open. It was dark inside. But the only light they could see was the glowing of the green goo that was across walls and some part of the floors.

“Gross,” complained Him, “make sure you don’t touch it.”

“I’ll find a light,” Ultimos said as he disappeared into the darkness. Tifa knew he would be able to find it with no problem. Tifa carefully stepped into the darkness with her sword in her hands. “Wait,” she whispered to Him, “listen.” They stood quiet and heard things moving around slowly.

“I found the switch,” they heard Ultimos whisper. The light flashed on and Tifa froze at what she saw. The spacious building was tall and wide with several hallways. But it was the dozen of monsters in the room that turned to see them that made them pause. These humanoid monsters (weird welders) looked at the heroes through their helmets. Tifa spotted these big monsters made of pipes and grills (doom boilers) here and there.

Ultimos zoomed across the room and destroyed everything he crossed. Parts were flying everywhere he went. Tifa ran to join the fight with Him right behind her. Tifa panted as she swung her sword and took down the welders. Him took them apart. One by one the monsters went down but it was the boilers that they had difficulty with. Tifa couldn’t take one of them she was fighting alone. Ultimos flew and picked the boiler up into the air to the ceiling and he threw it across the room and destroyed it.

The room was now empty but there wasn’t a terrafuser in sight. “Do you think we should split up?” Tifa asked.

“You and Him should go down that hall,” Ultimos suggested as he point to the west hallway. “I’ll go down this one.”

The group split up. Tifa and Him found themselves walking down a wide hall. Down the hall they could see more monsters. Tifa looked at Him and they both nodded to each other. Tifa led the assault as they both ran down the hall to the monsters. With those long legs, Him jumped on a doom boiler and took apart its insides. Tifa sliced the weird welders. But behind Him, a welder grabbed him/her. Tifa saw it and ran to the scene. She jumped on the monster’s back, raised her sword and ran it through its back. The monster disintegrated and Tifa made sure she didn’t touch the goo that it melted into.

“I guess we’re even,” she told Him.

“No,” Him replied, “to be even you need to hold me in the air while I yell and cry for my life.” Tifa actually laughed at this and was joined by Him’s laughs. Together they entered the new room. And there they saw it. The big green pod was at the end of the hallway, the terrafuser. But of course there were monsters in this room. Both Tifa and Him smiled as they braced themselves for the fight.

They stood back to back as they sliced up the parts of the mechanical monsters that went their way. They both panted as they drew to the terrafuser. “I’ll use my sword to destroy this thing,” Tifa said. She struck it again and again. Slowly the pod
began to fall apart.

At their feet stood a pile of the fusion matter. Their mission was a success. “Yay me!” Tifa cheered as she clapped her hands together in joy. Things were looking good at this point.

“Alright good job,” Him said, “let’s find Ultimos and get out of here.” Tifa turned around and at that moment she was knocked hard and flew against a wall.

“Arrggghh,” she heard Him yell as she tumbled on the floor. When was the pain going to end? Tifa raised her head to see this enormous Doom Boiler. Him was on the ground on the other side of the room. She slowly got up and held her sword firmly. The boiler turned to see Tifa. It started charging.

Tifa braced herself as the huge monster charged at her. At that moment Ultimos came flying in and picked Tifa up as the monster charged into the wall just missing her. Ultimos left her next to Him as he flew straight into the monster destroying the wall. Tifa helped Him up. They hurried their way to the entrance.

The grounds of the nuclear plant were empty. “Okay,” she told Him, “let’s hurry.” Tifa helped Him across the grounds. The panted with exhaustion. Tifa saw a scamper in the sky coming their way. She waved her free hand into the sky. It slowly started to descend several yards away from them. But just before they were able to make it to the aircraft, something erupted behind them. It didn’t hit them but the force pushed Tifa and Him to the ground. Tifa sat up and looked back. Another doom boiler was charging at them.

Tifa saw shots firing from the scampers as some of the kids were trying to take down the monster. But from behind the monster, Ultimos came flying. As he passed above the monster he gave it a big punch. It tumbled to the floor. Ultimos landed in between the monster and Tifa. He faced Tifa giving her a smile of triumph. From behind, the monster began to do something curious.

The doom boiler stuck its mechanical leg into the ground. They felt the floor shake and below Ultimos, the floor started to crack with green light radiating from the cracks. Tifa looked at Ultimos with fear but it was too late. From the ground below him a geyser of fusion matter erupted into the air. This was what pushed Tifa and
Him to the ground just a few seconds below.

Tifa heard her heart beat pulse as she saw Ultimos’s body fly in the air and hit the ground. He was motionless. “No,” she yelled, “ULTIMOS!!!”

The monster was charging to his body. Tifa fought the pain in her own body and got up. She ran and jumped over Ultimos’s body as she braced her sword. The monster kept its course. Tifa looked into what she thought was in its eyes. Was she strong enough? Would she survive?

All Tifa could hear were her footsteps and her hard breathing that forced air in and out of her body. “Come on Tifa,” she said to herself out loud. “You can do this. You can do this! AAAAAHHHHH!” She yelled pumping up the adrenaline that ran through her veins. She jumped to the attack and the doom boiler did the same. Then they clashed.

The kids in the scamper looked in amazement at the fight. Ultimos was still on the floor badly injured. Him was sitting up with his/her claws to his mouth. Tifa was on the floor. Behind her were the parts of the doom boiler covered in fusion matter. She did it. She destroyed it. Tifa pushed herself up. She trembled to her feet. She looked back. Him was being helped into the scamper. Some kids were running to Ultimos’s body with a hospital stretcher. Tifa stumbled to his side as they put him on the bed.

His eyes opened and he gave Tifa a weak smile. “I’m okay,” Ultimos assured Tifa. But he didn’t look like it. Tifa was smart enough to know when someone was lying. “Hold on,” he said when they tried to put him in the scamper.

“Tifa,” he said, “thank you.”

“For what?” she asked as she started to cry.

“For being a hero. For being my heroine,” he said with compassion. Tifa began to sob.

“I’m no hero,” she said as she took deep breathes to control herself. “I’ve been saved so many times when I put my life at risk.”

“That’s just it,” Ultimos said, “you put your life on the line for others. No matter what you faced you were willing to die for the ones you cared about. That is what a hero is. That is the best quality of a heroine.”

Tifa never cried so hard in her life. Ultimos grabbed her hand to comfort her. With his other hand he took off the yellow mask that was on his eyes. He put it in front of Tifa. “Take this,” he said, “every hero has their image. And this will make you the best. It will look better on you too.”

Tifa looked at the mask. “No I can’t,” she said as she tried to push it back to him.

“It is the favor I ask for saving my life,” he put the yellow mask into her hand. Tifa nodded and clenched the mask in her fist. “Promise me that you won’t ever give up hope,” he continued.

“I promise,” Tifa sniffed.

It took a lot of kids to put Ultimos into the scamper. Then Tifa got on. “Hold on,” the kids at the wheel said, “there’s too much weight. We need one kid to get off.”

“I’ll get off,” Tifa said as Him gave her a look, “it’s okay Him, I’m not hurt as bad
as you guys and the medics need to be here.” Him gave her a sad nod. Tifa got off the scamper and turned to see it lift into the air. The KND operative closed the door as he waved to her in gratitude. She smiled and nodded in response. It flew away as soon as it was high enough.

Tifa was alone. The wind was her only company. She wiped the tears from her face and took a deep breath with the mask against her chest in her hands. “Thank you Ultimos,” she said as she turned to the western hills where the angel flew over. It was twilight, the time when the sun was gone from the sky but its light was still visible and gave it a pink glow, the time between sunset and dusk. It was the last light of the day before the darkness came.

Tifa needed to be the last light for the darkness to come. She needed to be a heroine for the evil that was invading. She needed to be the twilight for the future.
