Daniel Agnon: Daniel lives out in The Wilds (Really Twisted Forest) with his father, who is a Plumber. Daniel loves everything to do with Alien tech, and wants to see what’s beyond The Wilds, and, more importantly, what’s beyond the stars. Daniel also aspires to become a Plumber.
Eddie Glister: Eddie lives in Pokey Oaks North, and is a frequent visitor to the Comedy Center that his parents own.

Ray Vilgax: Ray is a budding writer, and enjoys making up stories and has a very active imagination. Both his parents are biologists and make frequent trips to The Really Twisted Forest and the Green Maw, so Ray is often left to his own devices. He is a very reliable person, as well as a very good friend, and you can always count on him to get something done or to have your back. Ray lives by Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.

Bob KaMoo: Daniel’s best friend and a computer genius, Bob lives in The Wilds (Really Twisted Forest). He makes almost all the tech the Plumbers use, and is the founder and owner of KaBoom Industries. KaBoom Industries is one of the leading tech companies in the world, besting companies like Google and Mandark Industries, and is second only to Dexlabs. Nobody knows Bob’s real last name, not even his best friend, so he got “KaMoo” as a joke because of an exploding robotic cow he built when he was a kid and it stuck.


Numbah 0, Jr.: Special operative Numbah 0 Jr. (nicknamed NZJ) is an undercover KND scientist living in Sector V, well past decommissioning age. He was allowed to retain his knowledge of the KND and its operations so he could infiltrate the Delightful Children’s house and steal their technology so the KND could better it and use it against them. If Father or any of the other villains ever found out about NZJ, the results would be…disastrous.

Hector Luis: Arlen’s best friend, Hector lives in the Cul-De-Sac. Hector and Arlen first met when Hector came across Arlen in a 3 on 1 fight against the Gang Green Gang. After Hector helped Arlen get away, they’ve been the best of friends ever since. Years later, Arlen still feels like she owes Hector, and may just get her chance to pay him back.

James Dawson: James lives in Pokey Oaks North and is Arlen’s next door neighbor. James enjoys a good laugh, always making jokes and playing pranks. Funny and hyper, James makes his first appearance in Chapter 5.

I got the first 6, but couldn't figure out the last one. I guessed that color was supposed to mean it was a Helper here but I still couldn't figure it out. =/

@Green: Thanks. I was trying to think of something for KaBob and "moo" just kept poping into my head so...The last one is Dawg. It was orgianlly going to be "Dawgson" but spell check got rid of the 'g' automatticly and it ended up making it "Dawson", and i just left it like that. (Fooling around with spell check was how you got "Agnon" as well. I had no idea that was a real word...Who knew!)

(okay, so this is all I got just the letter to reader thing. I keep hitting writer's block and re-writting chapter 1. >_< Hopefully it'll be gone soon and I can get to work. I just wanted to put up SOMETHING. )

I’ll tell you how my friends became my comrades. I’ll tell you what happened to my friends and family in the year after the war started. Soon, I shall even tell you how Fuse came to be! But that my friend, is a story for another time. For now, read this tale I have for you, and find courage. Become the hero I know you are.

“We’re WHAT?!” I shouted, almost dropping my Dr.Pepper.


“Moving, yes.” My dad and I were standing in the kitchen. I had just come in to get a soda when he broke the news that we were moving. He was in a white lab coat and wearing safety goggles that seemed to make his eyes five times bigger than they really were. My dad was a robotics expert and my mom was a rocket scientist. Sometimes I wondered if they cared more about their dumb experiments then they did about me.
“But why? Why now? We’ve only been living in this house for like a year.”


“Because we’ve found a better place for our experiments. We’ll be getting a bigger house, and the lab won’t be in the basement anymore. It’ll be fine. I think you’ll like where we are moving, too.” Well, my dad had broken out my curiosity, and I can’t say I wasn’t looking forward to having my own bedroom again.


“Okay…So where are we moving? The city?” I had never been to the city. I’d explored all of the suburbs, from Sector V to Foster’s, but I had never, ever, been across the border into the city. It was like I had a map in my head. I could see every road, every street. I knew every turn, every intersection, everything there was to know about the suburbs. But past the borders, it was empty space. I hoped to fill some of that map in.



“No, not the city. We are going to move to a place called the Darklands. It’s-” Just as my dad was going to explain whatever the Darklands were, there was a loud crash from the basement that shook the house. I was used to that. It had happened so much that year, and in the years before, that I was surprised the house was still standing.


“Um, why don’t you go play outside or something? Your sisters are at the Cul-De-Sac.” My dad turned around and rushed down the basement steps.

Chapter 2: Bye for now
I sat steps outside my home, unsure of what to do. I didn’t want to move. It sounded like I was going to go far away. I decided since I was going to have to move whether I liked it or not, that I should probably go say good-bye to my best friend, Hector Luis. I hoped it wasn’t goodbye forever, but lately, it seemed, I could never be sure of anything.

I grabbed my skateboard and headed off to the Cul-De-Sac. I really hated it there, and only came when I wanted to hang out with Hector. I thought most of the people who lived there were sort of crazy, but the thing that really ticked me off was Eddy and his friends. They always seemed to be trying to pull off one hare-brained scheme or another. Once Eddy had actually tried to pickpocket me; I never forgave him for that.

When I arrived outside the Cul-De-Sac, I got off my skateboard, made sure the pocket that held my wallet was still zipped closed, and walked down the sidewalk to Hector’s house. I noticed that it seemed unusually quiet, which couldn’t have been a good sign. I didn’t have time to worry about that then, however. I had more pressing matters on my mind. I saw Hector in his driveway, shooting hoops.
“Hey Hector!” I called.
“Oh, hey Arlen,” Hector said, turning around. “Wanna play?”
“No thanks. I, uh…came to say good-bye.”
“Say good-bye?” Hector repeated, perplexed. “You gonna go on vacation or something?”
“No, I’m moving.”
“Moving? Where are you moving to?”
“Someplace called the Darklands. I think it’s pretty far away from here.”
“Darklands doesn’t sound like a very nice place to move.”
I shrugged. “That’s what I said.”
“So…This is it then? You’re leaving for good?”
“I dunno Hex. I hope not. I think this is just good-bye for now. I think we’ll see each other again…sometime.”
“I hope so. I’m gonna miss you Arlen.”
“I’m gonna miss you too.”
“Well…You wanna play one last game? Before you go?” Hector asked me, holding up his basketball.
“Yeah. That’d be fun.”
We played Horse and 1-1 for a bit, and then sat on the curb and talked about school starting up again, and Eddy’s latest scheme involving a Jaw Breaker Bank. It started to get dusky, and it was time for me to head home.
“Well, Hector, I gotta get my sisters and head home. It’s getting dark and dinner will probably be ready soon.”
“Okay. Cya later Arlen?”
“I’ll see you around. Bye Hex.”
“Bye Arlen.”
I got my skateboard, and went over to Sarah’s house to get my sisters and we headed home. I walked home slowly, thinking about the move to come and about maybe not seeing my best friend again.

Cool story so far, Arlen. Nice work.

BEEP…BEEP…BEEP

I opened my eyes, and sat up slowly. I rubbed my face and looked around my bedroom, not understanding why the quiet of early morning was suddenly being broken by this shrill beeping noise.
BEEP…BEEP…BEEP
After a minute or two, I realized it was my alarm clock. I realized that, after today, I wasn’t going to be living in the suburbs anymore. Today was moving day.
BEEP…BEEP…BEEP
I got out of bed, turned off my alarm, and started to get dressed. I made my bed and walked out of my bedroom, down the hall toward the kitchen. The house was still and oddly quiet. My sisters were still asleep, and my parents had gotten up earlier then I had and were down in the basement packing up. I opened the fridge, grabbed a Red Bull, and guzzled it down quickly. I wasn’t hungry and figured I should start packing up my stuff. I went back to my bedroom and started putting all my clothes into a box.

I sat on the curb outside my house, finishing off some lunch my dad had picked up. It was 1:30 PM and I sat watching my mom and dad loading up the boxes into the back of a truck. I had my MP3 Player on with my DS was sitting next to me, and I had a few books along with a pencil and a notebook in my backpack. I was all ready for the long car ride to the Darklands. I sat idly watching my sisters chase each other around the front yard. I looked up and down the street, taking one last look at the place I had grown to love. I was looking forward to having a new place to explore, and it wasn’t as if I had lived in Pokey Oaks North my whole life, but even so, there was still a kind of sadness at the thought of leaving. I sighed deeply and stood up, putting my DS in my backpack. As I went to walk over to my parents to see if they wanted any help packing up, I bumped into none other than James Dawson, my next door neighbor.
“Oh, sorry. Excuse me.” I said
“No big.” James said. “You moving then Arlen?”
“Yes James,” I said dully. He had asked me this question every time I saw him. I didn’t know if it was his idea of a joke or what, but it was getting on my nerves.
“Where are you going again?”
“I’ve told you a million times already. The Darklands. Before you ask, no, I don’t know why it’s named that.” This was how our conversations always started.
“I’m going camping up there in a couple of weeks!” He said, grinning.
“Yeah, I know. You’ve only told me a bazillion times,” I replied, rolling my eyes.
“I’ve heard it’s haunted up there. They say-”
“James,” I interjected, “I’m busy right now. I don’t have time to listen to ghost stories. I’ll be seeing you.” I walked past him and started helping my parents load up the boxes.
